Mike Juhas was born in New Orleans, LA, where he attended Jesuit High School. He studied business administration, economics, and classics at the University of Mississippi and educational leadership at the University of Cincinnati. Mr. Juhas began his professional career in his hometown, teaching middle school English and mathematics and high school social studies; he also served as Director of Student Activities and Student Council moderator and coached football, basketball, and tennis. In 2005, after Hurricane Katrina, Mr. Juhas moved to China, where he taught at an international school. He taught all academic subjects to a combined class of third, fourth, and fifth graders in addition to teaching elementary physical education. It was during this time period that he met his wife, Hai Li. Mr. Juhas returned to America to teach Latin at a Catholic school in Dallas, TX. He expanded the school's Latin program and was recognized by the Staples Foundation as the Dallas Regional Teacher of the Year in 2008. He served as chair of the school's accreditation committee during the 2009-2010 academic year. Mike and Hai Li Juhas come to us with their two children, Luke and Theodore. Mr. Juhas's interests include traveling, technology, tennis, and exercising.
