Parents’ Club News & Information



We have transitioned to a new model for our Parents’ Club in order to involve all families to the fullest and keep our school the best on the peninsula!

 

* 4 teams to help build community and enrich our school

                  – Hospitality

                  – Appreciation

                  – Social Activities & Events

                  – Classroom Activities & Events

* Efforts at better organization and structure

                  – Parents will be assigned to a team – don’t get nervous, we’re flexible!

                  – Parent Teams are set up similar to the kids’ school families

      • provides continuity
      • provides opportunity to work beside the parents of your child’s school family
      • allows for mentoring as established parents help orient & teach new parents about our school

- Teams are only responsible for the activities that fall into their category

      • focused efforts = manageable tasks
      • smaller scale = easier responsibilities
      • smaller teams = easier to share ideas
      • working together = building community
      • building community = having fun!

                  - Teams are managed by a coordinator & room parents

                  - Non-exclusive – just jump into the volunteer pool!

* Emphasizes the need for continued parental commitment to our school volunteer program

                  – It’s important that each parent spend a minimum of 24 hours per school year volunteering

      • SAVE 8 HOURS FOR THE BASH AUCTION because it’s our biggest fund raiser!
      • The other 16+ hours go to your team efforts and other enrichment activities & events.
      • CLICK HERE TO FILL OUT A VOLUNTEER COMMITMENT FORM – (one form for each parent) and return it to the school office so we know where your volunteer interest is.
