Our Mission

Our mission at Queen of Angels School is supporting our parents as primary educators by nurturing the spiritual, social, and academic growth of our students in a Christian environment.

Our Philosophy

Our school is an integral part of the Catholic Church's ministry of education in Queen of Angels Parish.  Our school community strives to develop a program of educational experience and excellence, designed to meet each child's needs, both spiritual and intellectual.  We provide opportunities to attain a wholesome attitude and reverence toward God, all people, and the gifts of creation.

Our History

Queen of Angels Parish opened a parish school in 1926, staffed by the Sisters of St. Ann from Victoria, B.C.

The school was originally built as a one-story building with 135 students.  In 1947 the Sisters of St. Ann were recalled to Victoria, and the Sisters of St. Joseph, from Newark, replaced them.  They taught here until the mid-1980's when they were replaced by lay teachers.  In 1974, the school expanded with a kindergarten.  And in 1981 we added a pre-school program.  We are now a fully accredited regional school serving the entire Olympic Peninsula.  We value our partnership with St. Joseph Parish in Sequim and St. Mary Star of the Sea Parish in Port Townsend.
